The Royal Bank of Scotland says it's committed to its offices in Stamford, amid reports of more layoffs.
According to the Stamford Advocate, the downsizing represents the latest part of the bank's cost-cutting plan that's already gotten rid of more than 600 jobs at the company's headquarters on Washington Boulevard.
Another European banking power, UBS, has also reduced its Stamford operations in recent years.
