A prominent real estate developer was struck and killed by a Metro-North train early Wednesday morning in Fairfield.
Police say 55-year-old Al Lenoci was hit around 5 a.m. They say witnesses told them that Lenoci ran out in front of the train. No foul play is suspected, but police say they are still investigating.
The incident happened not far from the family business on Kings Highway East. Lenoci's father founded United Properties 40 years ago.
Lenoci was convicted and served time in prison following the corruption investigation into Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim.
