After a controversy surrounding a member of the Trump Administration, The Red Hen in Old Saybrook is being pummeled with public hate.
The owners of the restaurant say they've fielded dozens of angry calls and watched their Yelp rating fall.
They say it’s because the eatery has the same name as the restaurant in Virginia where White House Spokeswoman Sarah Sanders was asked to leave over the weekend.
President Donald Trump took to Twitter slamming the restaurant in Virginia saying it, "Should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders."
