Governor Rell?s chief of staff apologized publicly Tuesday for wrongly handing out invitations to a fundraiser. Lisa Moody took the stand in the investigation into possible ethics violations surrounding the fundraiser. Moody was suspended from her job for two weeks in December after asking state agency heads to distribute invitations to the event. Those agency heads were eventually fined $500 each for passing out the invitations to subordinates. Moody was not cited because her position isn't covered under the ethics statute. The hearings will continue Thursday with Ethics Advisor Rachel Rubin. Related Information
