Remains found last April identified as missing Putnam County woman

According to New York State Police, Ramsey's remains were discovered at the site of a new home being built in Patterson.

Remains found last April during excavation work in the town of Patterson have been identified as those of Karen Ramsey, a Putnam County woman who went missing in May 1980 at the age of 25.

According to New York State Police, Ramsey's remains were discovered at the site of a new home being built in Patterson.

The town of Southeast resident had been missing for more than 40 years.

The cause of death remains under investigation, state police said.
