A new study found there is a high rate of diabetes in Connecticut.
The report finds eight percent of adults in Connecticut have diabetes, and tens of thousands of them don't even know it.
Doctors at Soundview Medical in Norwalk say when blood sugar levels get high and go untreated, you can cause damage to your eyes, heart, kidneys and feet.
Doctors say if you have a family history of diabetes or other risk factors, ask your doctor for a blood test.
