Fairfield's former public works superintendent reportedly will serve five years in prison for his role in the town's illegal dumping scandal.
Scott Bartlett and other town officials are accused of taking bribes to allow a developer to dump contaminated fill on town property. That fill was later used at several town parks and other public spaces.
Published reports say Bartlett was sentenced on Friday. He will also serve five years probation.
Barlett pled guilty to several charges last summer, according to authorities.
