There was a packed house Tuesday night at the Fairfield Planning and Zoning meeting.
On the agenda was the proposed veterinary hospital on Post Road, which would include dog boarding and day care.
Many in the community lined up to speak against its permit, mainly arguing the facility would cause too much noise pollution.
Others spoke out in support, saying they believe the service could be valuable to the community.
The town will continue the discussion in the next Planning and Zoning meeting Feb. 14.
