Denim Day is an international campaign that started 17 years ago. The event stemmed from a rape case in Italy in the 1990s. The victim wore tight jeans and the court initially ruled that she must have had to help her attacker remove her jeans, and in turn, gave consent.
A march was held and participants visited a resource fair to learn more about prevention. They were also given the chance to take a pledge to stop sexual abuse.
