Voters in Bridgeport will have to decide on whether to use more taxpayer dollars to fund the public library.
Mayor Bill Finch says that reallocating the funds to the library could result in higher taxes. Some residents support the referendum while others say they don't care whether or not there will be a tax increase.
Both the mayor and the city librarian are hopeful that the residents will vote to help the library that will be facing more cuts, if additional funding is not provided.
The voting will begin next week.
