Restaurants that have taken pride in their outdoor set-ups were preparing Monday to protect them from the storm.

Owners say they are relying on outdoor dining spaces during the pandemic and can't see them destroyed by wind and rain.

At BJ Ryan's Banc House, workers started dismantling some of the outside equipment around dinner time.

Another Norwalk restaurant, Valencia Luncheria, say it plans on riding out the storm and hopes the tent is anchored securely enough to stay open while the chairs and lighter items will be put indoors.
