Watertown police are asking for the public's help finding whoever is responsible for abandoning a dog at Sylvan Lake Park Monday with no food or water.
Investigators say the dog was found in a rusty crate near the basketball court, which is out in the open and has very little shade.
The dog, which had a few cuts, was immediately taken to an animal hospital to be evaluated. He is now being cared for by the Watertown Police Department Animal Control Division.
"We're trying to basically get a history on Percy, find out who the owners out and then ultimately find him a home," said Lt. Jared Dandrea.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Watertown police. There is a cash reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
