Mayor Harry Rilling, sponsors and officials from the Norwalk Oyster Festival cut the ribbon Thursday afternoon for its 46th annual festival.

The event features rides, food, oysters of course and entertainment.

The headliners this year are Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and Mike DelGuidice.

The festival itself kicks off Friday evening and runs through Sunday.
