A Ridgefield business owner is doing his part to help victims impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Ezra Zimmerman, of EZ Moving, is collecting supplies at 679 Danbury Ridge Road in Ridgefield until Nov. 4.
People have already dropped off winter clothing items, like jackets and blankets, while others have donated chainsaws and heaters.
A GoFundMe that will go toward purchasing pallets of food and other essential supplies has already raised more than $5,000 as of Monday afternoon.
“It looks apocalyptic,” Zimmerman says. “I couldn’t imagine having to go through that, and whatever I can do to help try and make their situation better is what I’m trying to do.”
Zimmerman plans to deliver the trailer of supplies to ABCCM Servant Leadership Center in Arden, North Carolina on Nov. 6.
