Hurricane Harvey's devastation has motivated two Ridgefield residents to head down and help.
Ezra Zimmerman and Peter Rossini are flying down to Dallas Friday to rent a truck and fill it with food and water. They say they plan on driving that truck into parts of Houston.
They say watching the devastation unfold on TV has inspired them to help.
"The only way something was going to be done was if we went out there and dealt with it ourselves," says Zimmerman.
The pair have already surpassed their goal of $10,000 thanks to their
GoFundMe page. They say the goods will go to a Houston community center in need of supplies.
Zimmerman and Rossini say they're willing to drive truckloads of supplies from Dallas to Houston as many times as they have to.
