Starting today, people in Norwalk are adjusting their daily commute due to some closures in the city for the next three weeks.
Part of East Avenue will be closed, including the part that goes under the railroad tracks between Fort Point Street and Winfield Street.
The closures are part of the Walk Bridge replacement project which includes improvements to the East Norwalk train station.
The closures mean pedestrians will still be able to walk through, but cars will have to detour.
As for rail riders, the closures will add more time to the commute.
Anyone who takes the train from the East Norwalk station will now have to go to South Norwalk or Westport stations.
Drivers will either park at South Norwalk or park at the garage and take a free shuttle to South Norwalk.
The closure will be until March 31.
