? A group of Rowayton parents gave up their Saturday to help build a playground for the community with some help from Home Depot.
Tracey Stidolph organized a campaign to raise $55,000 dollars in private funds to replace an old playground at Bayley Beach Park, which she says needed repairs. About 40 volunteers dug holes for the play equipment during the weekday and filled them in Saturday. Home Depot workers also donated their time.
The playground opens May 20. Volunteers say they hope children will enjoy it for years to come.
