Many residents in southwestern Connecticut are making a mad dash to supermarkets Wednesday to get their last minute items before Thanksgiving.
While some were picking up trimmings, others were out to find the perfect turkey. One shopper at Stew Leonard?s in Norwalk says finding a good bird the day before Thanksgiving can be very difficult.
Stew Leonard?s expects to have 30,000 customers and to sell 20,000 turkeys Wednesday. Stew Leonard?s workers say the day before Thanksgiving is the second busiest day of the year just behind the day before Christmas Eve.
