Yesterday?s fire at Lajoie's Auto Wrecking in Norwalk has neighbors concerned for their safety.
Prior to yesterday, Lajoie?s had already been the site of a number of fires and safety emergencies.
State environmental officials say the fire did not create any serious environmental hazard, but Mayor Richard Moccia today called for a special meeting to discuss Lajoie?s recurring safety issues.
Authorities say the fire started in a two-story sheet-metal building that is used to shred cars.
