Several families of Sandy Hook victims say they are seeking another chance to sue the manufacturer of the gun used in the school shooting.
Just one month after a judge threw out their case, 10 families are now asking the Connecticut Supreme Court to take it over.
The families are trying to sue Remington Firearms, the company that made the AR-15 assault weapon used by Adam Lanza to kill 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary School back in 2012.
Federal law shields gun makers from most lawsuits, but there is an exception if a plaintiff can prove that gun maker recklessly marketed the gun to someone likely to use it for violence.
