Officials say a report of a man with a gun prompted a lockout at Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport.
It happened shortly after 8 a.m. at the school on Palisades Avenue.
Officials say they received a call that a man had tried to break in to a home nearby.
The caller stated the man had a gun and then walked away from the home through the school's parking lot.
The lockout was lifted about an hour after it was put in place.
