Chasing down school volleyball records, while getting it done in the classroom. Foran High School's Gabriella Magnuson is this week's News 12 Connecticut Scholar Athlete of the Week presented by Colonial Toyota. 

She sports a 4.75 GPA and gets involved with her school community. Magnuson is just a handful of digs away from a school volleyball record.

"She's incredibly humble and she's incredibly motivating to her teammates. If she makes a bad play, she shakes it off. She's positive, she's such a team player which is one of the most important aspects to be a volleyball player," Foran High girls volleyball coach Jessica Blake says.
