State police are searching for a driver who caused a three-car crash involving a trooper.
It happened early yesterday morning by exit 7 on I-95 North in Stamford.
Authorities say the driver of a Dodge Caravan lost control, collided with the cruiser and another car then rear-ended the cruiser.
The driver of the Caravan then fled on foot, according to police.
The trooper suffered head and leg injuries and the four occupants in the third vehicle suffered minor injuries. All were taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment, according to officials.
