A Bridgeport family grieved Wednesday night after a second person died from injuries sustained in a double shooting on Halloween on Maplewood Avenue.
The family of 28-year-old David Belle says he put up a brave fight and went through extensive surgery after being shot this week in front of the barbershop he planned to open up.
Police say 41-year-old Myoshi Bagley, a hairstylist who was going to work for Belle, died immediately from her injuries.
Belle clung to life for a week before passing away Tuesday night.
Police say Belle and Bagley were leaving the store on Halloween when someone opened fire nearby, striking them both.
Belle's cousin, Anthony Belle, says reflecting on his cousin's life has been a bittersweet experience and that all of the happy memories of Belle keep him going.
The family says they are still in the process of making funeral arrangements.
Police are still investigating.
