A security officer is recovering today after he was stabbed at a Halloween party in Parsippany.

Police say David C. Knestrick, of Connecticut, was arrested and charged in the stabbing at the Hilton Hotel.

Police say the attack happened after the security officer tried to stop an altercation between Knestrick and other people at the party.

Knestrick is charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.
