Sen. Richard Blumenthal is calling for a wide expansion of immigration services in southwestern Connecticut and across the country.
Blumenthal visited Neighbors Link in Stamford this morning.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal said the services provided by programs like Neighbors Link are invaluable to immigrants to help them find jobs, housing and education.
The White House announced last week that it would allow up to 100,000 Syrian refugees to cross the borders into the U.S. by 2017.
Blumenthal said these programs will be key in making them productive members of society.
