Sen. Blumenthal: Federal funding would benefit 'the working homeless'

Sen. Richard Blumenthal hopes Congress will soon approve the new federal budget that was announced by President Joe Biden last week that contains funding for housing programs and assistance.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal says federal funding can help people known as "the working homeless."
He says he hopes Congress will soon approve the new federal budget that was announced by President Joe Biden last week that contains funding for housing programs and assistance.
"The working homeless deserve more in the way of affordable housing that the government can provide through programs that lower interest rates and the cost of development..." Blumenthal says.
Blumenthal adds that partnership would be between both parties and the public and private sectors.
