Sen. Richard Blumenthal is joining the call to find a missing 11-year-old lab mix in Wilton.

He met with Brandi Solomon, of Fairfield, whose dog Lexi went missing on Dec. 7 from a farm she was visiting in Wilton.

Blumenthal says the case is unusual because hundreds of people have actively joined in the search, which has taken on a life of its own and brought people together at the end of a difficult year.

Solomon says Lexi was last seen on Dec. 20 on somebody's Ring doorbell camera on the Ridgefield-Wilton border.

She says lost dogs eventually go into survival mode and may not respond even to their owners, so it's important not to scare Lexi if she's spotted.
