Sen. Richard Blumenthal says he is pushing for more federal funding for child care in Connecticut and nationwide.

“The rallies we are seeing, ‘Morning Without Childcare,’ show that there is a demand for childcare that is unmet. That is unconscionable in a country that needs more workers; so many jobs unmet and child care is key to it,” said Blumenthal.

Sen. Blumenthal says the latest federal budget has increased funding for child care, but more is needed.
