Sen. Richard Blumenthal says that he supports new regulations cracking down on artificial intelligence-generated robocalls.
The FCC said AI-generated voices in unsolicited robocalls are banned under the 1991 Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
“We need new laws to protect against AI, deep fakes and impersonations. That's why my bill to regulate artificial intelligence is still necessary,” Blumenthal said.
