Calling all lifeguards! Sherwood Island State Park is ready to kick off the 'unofficial' start to summer this weekend but is still in need of lifeguards.
Last year, the entire lifeguard staff quit but the governor stepped in and new lifeguards were hired. Despite the new hires, the staff is still short. The park supervisor says the job is demanding and is a lot of responsibility, but adds it's a cool job.
Certified lifeguards in the market for a job should call News 12 Connecticut's Infoline at 354-INFO for more information.
