A church in Bridgeport that sustained heavy damage during Superstorm Sandy received much-needed work this weekend with the help of a local construction company and volunteers.
Crews spent their Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church replacing the roof and gutters, painting the outside and fixing heating and electrical issues.
Larry Janesky, founder of Basement Systems, says the project gives his company the opportunity to give back to the community and do some good.
More than 80 people signed up to help with the project.
