Signs warning people of the dangers of leaving children alone in hot cars are now posted in Fairfield.
The signs can be seen in the area near the Fairfield downtown train station on Unquowa Road, near Tomlinson School.
Town officials say they are putting the signs up now that summer is here.
Employees with the Department of Public Works, which is posting the signs, say they hope the message will get through to people.
Police also tell us they will be continuing to post the signs in public places, and are working to get them up at businesses in the parking lots.
