A small business owner is finding different ways to help people live a little greener.
Brad Kerner, the owner of Eco Evolution, created a six-month subscription model that brings people on a journey toward an eco-friendly home.
"At the end of the six months, it's about 50 different products, from about 40 different brands," said Kerner.
Kerner had been worried about the planet long before he opened his business in Norwalk.
"Ethical retail concept that has all those products I started using and local artisans," said Kerner.
Making the switch to a greener lifestyle was only part of his goal, he wanted to help others do the same.
Each month, people receive a box with eco-friendly items they can replace in their house. It’s narrowed to different rooms in the house, such as a bathroom, kitchen, laundry room and more.
"It's hard to change [your] toothpaste without ever seeing it and talking about it and seeing how it works," said Kerner.
Each box also features items from local vendors with earth-friendly products.
"Things that we buy from California, or Canada, or from overseas are also being created here in our own backyard," said Kerner.
