Connecticut is getting hit with snow on the first day of spring.
News 12 meteorologists say the precipitation will become heavy during the evening commute and end before midnight.
Snow totals will likely be highest closest to the coast. Accumulations could reach 2-5 inches, with lower totals expected north of the Merritt Parkway.
Temperatures will hover at around 30 degrees tonight. This weekend should see temperatures in the high 30s and low 40s.
