As the summer comes to an end, so do some of our favorite outdoor hangouts.

This Sunday, Brooklynites will say goodbye to outdoor pools and beaches as the season ends in the city.

Beaches will reopen for strolling and sitting during the off-season, but swimming will remain off limits. Year-round indoor pools located at recreation centers will still be open.

Coney Island beachgoers out on Saturday, soaking up the last bit of fun before the weather takes a turn, spoke with News12 about what they will miss.

“It is very hard to say goodbye to the sand and the water, but I know that in eight months, Memorial Day weekend will roll around again," said Tanya Torres. "I'll be out here, either at Coney or Brighton or Rockaway, enjoying myself.”
