The Westport community will come together this weekend to show support for Israel.
A candlelight solidarity vigil will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Jesup Green.
There will be singing and speakers from synagogues in town.
Candles will also be handed out.
Organizers say it's important to stand with the Jewish community and bring peace to people.
"This is an extremely thoughtful community and it's also a community that embraces tradition as well as diversity, equity and inclusion. Furthermore, what we can do is as a community is helping bring peace to those who are not being able to sleep at night and are being completely distracted by what's going on globally," says Andrew Colabella.
Westport Police and State Police will both provide security.
