Milford officials say that many beachfront homes will require the clearance of electricians in order to receive power.Officials say homeowners whose meters have been locked need to bring an electrician to their buildings department, and fill out a $15 permit to have a representative approve their house.Mayor Ben Blake says the measure is meant to ensure that potentially damaged meters don't cause house fires. Blake says power should be restored the same day a home is cleared.
