A suspicious package led to the temporary closure of two roads Tuesday morning in Norwalk, sources told News 12.

Norwalk police closed Westport Avenue and Strawberry Hill Avenue for about an hour while police investigated.

Sources told News 12 that a green package with wires sticking out was found outside the Bankwell building on Westport Avenue.

Police say the roads were closed after they received a call around 9:20 a.m. They reopened the roads around 10:30 a.m. after determining there was no threat to the public.

Sources say the suspicious package was just a battery pack.
