South Shore gears up for significant snowstorm this weekend

Long Islanders on the South Shore stocked up on essentials in preparation for the weekend's nor'easter.
Besides the snow coming with the snow, some are worried about flooding in places like Seaford depending on how bad the tide is.
"What we do is we tie everything up in the back, and the boat's out of the water so that fine," says Kris Montemarano. "So basically, that's it, just hope for the best."
Most people say they have seen a shortage of food but are not having trouble finding shovels or ice melt.
Tom Morgano, owner of Kross Hardware in West Babylon, also says that people test their snowblowers and make sure they have enough gas in them.
Officials say its best for residents to get what they need ahead of time and make sure everything they need is in easy access for the storm.
