Southbury leaders are looking at the aftermath of May's destructive tornado that hit the town in order to be better prepared for future emergencies.
Monday was the first of two public meetings in which residents were invited to speak for three minutes about how they felt about the town's emergency response to the disaster.
Officials say they will look at the statements to see what they can learn, using them to come up with a plan.
The next meeting is set for July 16. Residents can also send their statements by mail or email.
