A Southbury police officer may have just saved some Christmas celebrations.

An officer, whose choosing to stay anonymous, delivered abandoned packages to their rightful owners on Tuesday.

Police say they got a call about dumped packages near a road.

Some were open and empty, others were intact and personally delivered by the officer.
