A Southport condominium board says it?s lights out for one woman?s efforts to adorn her property with Christmas lights and decorations.Sherri Garney, of Southport Woods Drive, says she?s been decorating her condominium every Christmas for four years. This year, the condo board sent a letter telling Garney if she didn?t pack up her baby Jesus, reindeer lights and Santa, she would face fines. The board says the decorations violate condominium rules.Garney complied but says taking down the decorations killed her holiday spirit. She adds the adornments are a way to share happiness and pay tribute to her daughter Tara, who died eight years ago. Neighbors have largely supported Garney?s right to decorate. Members of the board say Garney may decorate her porch, but ask that she not decorate bushes and common area.
