A specialized market celebrated its opening on the East Side of Bridgeport today.
YESU MO is one of the few places outside of New York City where shoppers can get traditional African and Caribbean foods.
Maggie Kumi, who owns the store along with her husband, says after several false starts, they finally got it going -- then along came the pandemic.
Kumi's husband, 62-year-old Akomeah Konadu, brought his family to the U.S. from Ghana more than 30 years ago.
They say they're proud and happy to be open for business in spite of the turbulent times their business was born in.
