President Bush is the guest of honor at an exclusive fundraiser in Greenwich Monday.The president, who landed at Binney Park in the Marine One helicopter, is hoping to give a boost to the state GOP before the November elections. Supporters and protesters lined up along the expected motorcade route hoping to get a glimpse of the president. Many say they would come out no matter who was president simply out of respect for the office.Republicans Shays, Simmons and Johnson are fighting off challenges from Democrats in three hotly contested House seats that may determine who controls Congress. Monday?s event is expected to raise about $400,000 for the state Republican Party.
