Despite 13 new players on the roster, Stamford is headed to the Babe Ruth World Series for a second straight year. The team is asking for the public's help with donations.
"To win it all would be a tremendous achievement, that's always the ultimate goal. We want to be competitive, get out of pool play and see what happens from there," said manager John Calo.
The team is comprised of players from Stamford and Westhill high schools. They leave Saturday and begin World Series play Monday.
