The man responsible for decades of legendary chili at Pat?s Hubba Hubba passed away this week.
Pasquale Carta wowed the crowds in Stamford for years with his hot dogs, hamburgers and chili. Carta passed away at 71 from complications of kidney disease. His health had been in decline for some time, according to employees.
While customers may remember Carta for his delicious treats, his friends and coworkers speak more highly of the man?s dedication.
?I remember one incident when he was having a heart attack in the hospital, [he] called me from the emergency room to see if we were busy,? one employee says.
A funeral will be held for Carta on Monday.
