A church in Stamford is coming together for the family of a teen killed in a horrific Norwalk car crash.
Family friends of the victim identify him as 19-year-old Matt Bores. The North Stamford Congregational Church has been providing meals to the Bores family since the accident Sunday. Pastor Bob Childs says, ?My heart just breaks for them. [I] can?t imagine what it must be like to have to go through that.?
A prayer service will be held at the church to remember the teen who graduated from Westhill High last year. Pastor Childs says the service gives family and friends a chance to express their emotions and grieve.
Police say it appears the victim?s car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into a rock wall on Route 7 and then caught fire. There is no word on the cause of the crash. The state medical examiner is still waiting on dental identification to confirm that Bores was the person killed in the crash.
