A Stamford firefighter who died last year was recognized for his service at a national memorial this weekend.
Richard Saunders had his name added to a Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado.
As News 12 reported, Saunders died in November of 2015 from complications of job-related cancer.
Saunders joins seven other Stamford firefighters whose names are already engraved at the site.
