A Stamford man who owns a small trucking business has created a GoFundMe to campaign against tolls in Connecticut.
Patrick Sasser of No Tolls CT says the money would be used for materials to make protest signs and eventually to purchase advertising.
He says he has raised about one-quarter of his $10,000 goal.
Newly elected state Sen. Alex Bergstein from Greenwich has authored a bill that would take tolls further and says she wants to change how people think about tolls.
Bergstein says the status quo is putting the brakes on the economy and that adding technology to tolls will allow them to manage traffic and cut fees for drivers who can't afford to pay or live nearby.
